Angie, there are big advantages to some of the new fabrics and with the cold/dry weather of CO, you will be much more confortable. Look for dry weave, cool max. It doesn't have to be expensive. Look at www.OneMoreMile.com. Bobbi and I also found great shorts at Race Ready. They are for distance (lots of back pockets), but they are really comfortable and the pockets are nice for keys, ID, phone. The cool thing is that they come in various inseam lengths as well as cool patterns. They also have some great inexpensive base shirts and tanks.
