First, what happened to week 3? Well, life gets in the way. I planned a step down week, knowing that my nieces were visiting. Well, they needed me more than I needed to exercise, so I logged all of 6 miles the entire week. That makes me a successful aunt, and an exercise flunkie. Oh well, there is always another time to run.
Sunday - Everyone is gone and I have had a day to recover. Yes, I spent Saturday at the beach with a great novel and stimulating conversation with my husband. Sunday, I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill.
Total Miles: 7
Speed: First mile - 8:30 pace
Second mile - 7:30
Third mile - 8:30
Fourth mile - 7:19
Fifth mile - 8:30
Sixth mile - 7:03
Seventh mile - 8:30
Lift: Abs
Monday - I had a fabulous lift today at the gym. I took my balance disk and did chest and back all functional training. In other words, I either sat or stood on my balance disk with every exercise. I had to lighten up my weights, but I love the challenge of being off balance. Great core work. I think I will go back tomorrow.
Then, I ran tonight while at soccer practice. And, get this...I found a running partner! Another mom is a distance runner. YEAH! We settled into an easy pace that allowed for a great chat. We will run again together on Wednesday. The miles are SO much easier with someone to talk to.
Total Miles: 7
Speed: 8:40
Temperature: mid 80's
Humidity: I was distracted, so nothing was too bad.
Wall Breaks: none

Looks like your times didn't suffer from your week off! Congrats on finding the running partner--I have yet to be successful with that. Maybe I can twist Angie's arm until she agrees to be my walking partner. She's going to hate living next to me!
