Yoga

I had my first yoga session today! It went really well. I am just as inflexible as I thought, but I am also quite strong. She helped me with the breathing and put me through several stretches and then several poses. Just as I was feeling like I flunked yoga, she pulled out the strength test. I rocked. So, I may not be able to touch my toes, but I can do a this trick, oh excuse me...pose.

No you can't! Are you serious? This just confirms my belief that you are a freak of nature! ;)

Since you're inflexible, I highly recommend a yoga block. My only stiff parts are my ankles and I had a horrible time trying to do the hero pose. The block helped immensely.

I love love love Yoga! As much as I can't do other things, I'm super flexible.

Have you tried Pilates? You might like that a little better. I did a class in Leavenworth called Yogalates which was just a combination of the two. I took it with some friends so it was pretty fun too. I'm looking forward to getting back in the Yoga groove as soon as I'm not pregnant anymore.

That's awesome I used to love yoga... I am super flexible but have doctors orders no yoga because of it (I can put both feet behind my head)... and for you swimmers out there... One of the top master swimmers at the Y told me that she does yoga because it improves her swimming more than any other exercise (the stretching and balance)... and private lessons in your home! -how cool is that?!

Love Yoga! I've been doing it for about four months now. It's certainly mind over matter. I just completed that move you posted for the first time last week! Can't believe you did it in the first session! Show off!
