We're finally all settled in our home here at Ft. Leavenworth. It's very nice and I love my new neighborhood full of moms just like me. Seems like everyone I talk to is either a runner or trying to loose weight. Great group of people to be around. I'm already sad that our time will be so short here.
Because the weather has finally become more spring-like, I've run out of excuses why I haven't been out there running. I even have a trail all mapped out but I haven't taken the plunge yet. My main reasons are that we haven't fallen in a good routine yet. Whenever I plan on running, one the boys is sick (like today) or the weather is freezing. I also have a huge mental problem with leaving my house before all my work is done. I'm trying to make myself believe that running is my work and I have to work that in too. I'm trying.
So, as an incentive to get off my butt and out of the house, for my upcoming birthday, my thoughtful husband, bought me a gym membership at a new gym in town. He also got me 6 sessions with a personal trainer. I meet with her, Erin, for the first time tomorrow to test my blood pressure, heart rate etc. I also remembered to ask them if she had ever trained a woman before. I remembered, V, told me to always ask for that first. The answer was that they train about 98% women in that gym. Perfect! Erin is young and beautiful and perky. Great motivation for me. I just can't wait!!! I love this gym. First off, it's close and not on post with all the joes. They have a Curves type room and all of the equipment in there is pink. Yes, I immediately thought of you, Aura and then I thought how E's shoes would go great in there. HAHA! They also have all kinds of classes (yoga, pilates, cardio kick, spinning) and on site child care. For one kid it was only $12 a month! Excellente!!
Now I'm on with my day. Vincent and Freddie both have some sort of allergy problem and their eyes are all swollen up. I'm off to the clinic...again....

Get that jogging stroller ready--I'll drag you out with me! Kick and scream all you want, I can handle it! :) Good luck with the personal trainer! I've been considering it, but the cheapskate in me hesitates. Let us know how it goes!
