If anyone's in the market, go to Amazon.com and check out the deal through one of their vendors: shoes.com. They have $20 off a purchase of $80 or more, plus free shipping.
I'm stocking up! This saves me almost $40, including the tax and shipping. They have my shoe, but only in the pink. I was hoping to try the lime this time. As long as I can get the shoe, I'm happy. It's hard for me to find shoes that feel good, so I'm sticking with this one as long as I can.
I thought I might be getting close to needing new shoes because my feet were feeling "off". No pain, just not right. But I only have about 250 miles on these, not the recommended 300-500. When I got my new ones, I compared the two and measured the difference in the soles. (Yeah, I'm a geek) There was 1/8 inch difference! So I guess I was ready for new ones. These are considered performance shoes so I think they wear out faster.
Since I'll have an influx of pink shoes for as long as this sale goes on, I guess I'm stuck with them. I actually get a lot of compliments on them though. If only I could back up the glitz with my performance!

I was so excited about this offer! I too go through my shoes very quickly. Depending on how many miles I am training, I usually need new shoes every 3-4 months.
So, I go to Amazon, find the sale and my shoe...all looks great. Then, I check shipping. They will not ship to APO! I am so sick of this. In the past 2 years, there has been a serious decline in online service to APO. They say the answer is to ship to someone in the US and have them ship to you. First, we must assume you have people standing in the wings to run errands for you. Second, it means no free shipping. Finally, that takes forever. All over a custom sticker?!
What happened to supporting our troops and families?
Have you ever tried zappos.com? I used to order ALL the time and they shipped to an APO plus FREE return shipping if they don't fit. Double check that they still ship to an APO but they have all kinds of shoes including running.
Heidi,
Thanks for recommending Zappos. I had forgotten. They do have my shoe; it is a bit more expensive. However, since they offer free return shipping, I will likely use them to try a new shoe. Road Runner Sports does give me free shipping to my APO and they are willing to take a shoe back even after I run in it. Unfortunately, I have to pay for the return shipping which runs about $10. No incentive to try a new style. Thanks again, I will pass the word.
