We are a bit dissapointed that we have had only one person express an interest in joining our group on the blog. (Welcome Rachel!). 3 of our current contributors are pregnant with various restrictions that prevent them from exercising. Without new people, our conversation is minimal at best.
We know there are lots of our friends out there that work out regularly. We are willing to change the focus of the blog to fitness in general to attract some more participation. We would like to see several people contributing conversation pertaining to fitness: challenges, successes, questions, new ideas/products, food, etc. I am afraid that if we do not have more interest, we will have shut the blog down.
Have you ever felt like you were killing yourself and getting nowhere?
Have you ever felt like you just don't have time to work out?
Have you ever wondered what people are really eating to stay fit?
How long do you really have to do cardio/lift weights to see results?
Can you make sense of those work out plans? Do they work?
How do you pick a personal trainer? Is it worth it?
How do you break the work out plateau?
At some point, all of us have asked at least one of these questions. If you would like to join in on the discussion, please leave a comment and come join the group.

Unfortunately I know many more people who NEED a blog like this verses those who would use or contribute.
One idea is that a new question get posted every week, those with any knowledge regarding it can post accordingly?
I will gladly post if people are interested in reading. I just don't want to seem like I am tooting my own horn or over-educating if no one really cares.
Hi Rachel,
I am excited to hear your thoughts and I like the question idea. Why don't you post one and let's see if anyone comments. E says she can at least talk about food, if not running. If no one has anything to say, then we will know the interest isn't there.
Hey Ladies!
I know that the past few weeks have been crazy busy and I haven't taken time to even write my thoughts about the ATM. Now, it feels like it's too late, so I am just going to leave a comment instead.
I know that I will check in just about every day if the blog continues. And, I am sure that I will contribute to post every now and again all on my own. I know that keeping the blog up and running is very important to me and keeps me connected to my fitness friends. For instance, currently, I do not have a gym/running/walking buddy and this is a way for me to have that human connection with other women who share my aspiration to run so that we can drink wine or margaritas and eat our dessert without gaining a "mom butt". So, please, even if it is just a small little group, it is OUR small little group.
Rachel--I love your advice and the comments that you have left in the past. Some days this blog is all about tooting our own horns, so you go right on ahead...it's motivational and we should all be proud of what we are accomplishing, however big or small. I remember all of the times that I saw you in the gym in Vilseck doing your thing, and I aspire to have the dedication that you have. Furthermore, to have a licensed professional as part of our team would be wonderful;-)
V--I have taken your advice and used the grandma shuffle during my latest runs and RUN the entire 45minutes-1hour. And, yeah, you were right, slowing down is a much easier transition than stopping. Thanks for the kick in the tushy! Maybe by 2009 I will RUN the entire 10 miles. Now, how is your training going and when exactly is the marathon?
Oh, my dear pregnant ones--I love you guys! And, by this time next year you will be well on your way to sharing all of your trials and tribulations of running while juggling multiple children and infants.
Okay, off to work.
Well, I hope this site continues! I really only know Angie (and Christy through blogging), but love reading the site and use it for some motivation. Well, should say used (I too am pregnant). But I still read to keep up. My intent is to start running as soon as the doc gives me the all clear. I am not sure if I am setting too big of a goal but I'd love to be able to run another marathon next fall. I would be up for contributing but can't promise anything spectacular! :)
Hi Billie,
We would love to have you. Does Angie have your email? If so, she can send you the invitation to contribute. If not, send your email to me at vianne@newells.net and I will send you the invite.
When is your due date? If youa re already a runner, you should only need about 4-5 months to get ready for a marathon. You said "another" one, so I assume you have run at least one before, so you already know what it takes to run. If motherhood is new to you, learning to juggle fitness, the accumulation of miles, and baby are certainly challenging. You are in good company. Welcome.
